Editorial policy

Career advice affects people's livelihoods. These are the standards we hold every guide, resume example, and blog post to before it goes live.

Who writes our content

All long-form guides are written or reviewed by a member of the RankResume editorial team— former recruiters, hiring managers, and career coaches with documented hiring experience. Authors are credited by name on every long-form article.

AI disclosure

We use AI to draft and accelerate research, but AI-generated content is never published without human editorial review. When an article is AI-assisted we disclose it directly on the article.

Product-level AI output (generated resumes, cover letters, ATS scores) is always labeled as AI-generated inside the product. We do not use AI to fabricate testimonials, reviews, or statistics.

Review process

  1. Every article has a documented subject-matter reviewer separate from the author.
  2. Claims involving statistics, ATS behavior, or hiring outcomes must cite a named source — industry report, published study, vendor documentation, or primary recruiter interview.
  3. Resume examples are reviewed against the actual JD-to-resume match criteria used inside the product, not just stylistic preferences.

Accuracy & corrections

If you find a factual error, email editorial@rankresume.io. Verified errors are corrected within 5 business days and the article is updated with a dated correction note.

Substantive changes (not typo fixes) are timestamped via the page lastmod signal surfaced in our sitemap.

Conflicts of interest

Product comparisons (including our best AI resume builders roundup) disclose that RankResume is one of the products being compared. We do not accept payment to rank competitors higher or lower. Affiliate relationships, where any exist, are disclosed on the individual article.

Verified reviews

We do not publish fake reviews or fabricate aggregate ratings. Testimonials displayed on RankResume are collected from verified product users with their explicit consent and are not incentivized beyond occasional product credits, which is disclosed when applicable.
